Policy advice

We support policymakers and administrations in designing policy incentives, identifying and evaluating technological solution spaces, and modeling industrial investment and procurement strategies in the context of industrial decarbonization. We also support local authorities in identifying transformation pathways to achieve a climate-neutral energy supply. We work closely with our network of partners.

  • Hansestadt Hamburg: Together with IREES GmbH, we have developed a recommendation for action for the Ministry of the Environment, Climate, Energy and Agriculture (BUKEA) of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg on the design of a funding instrument for the decarbonization of the heating and cooling supply of the local industry.
  • Federal Ministry for the Environment: In the project Wärmewende in der Industrie (WIN4climate), our team has developed solutions for an industrial, sustainable energy system on behalf of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU).
